INTEGRITES partner Olena Perepelynska moderated the panel discussion at VI International Arbitration Readings in Memory of Academician Igor Pobirchenko in Kyiv.
The first day of the readings was devoted to the topic “Efficient Arbitration: What does it mean?”. Olena Perepelynska moderated the session “From the establishment of objective truth to the adversarial nature of the process: proof as a guarantee of effective protection”.
Participants of the session were: ICAC Presidium Member (Ukraine) Tatiana Zakharchenko; President of the ISTAC Board of Arbitration, Chairman of the International Private Law Department at the Law Faculty of Galatasaray University (Turkey) Ziya Akinci; International commercial arbitration and complex cross-border litigation lawyer (Germany) Olga Hamama; Partner of Enyo Law (Great Britain) Evgeniya Rubinina; and Lecturer at the University of Oslo, Member of the ICAC Presidium, Counsel at ARBITRADE (Norway/Ukraine) Yulia Chernykh.
International Arbitration Readings in Memory of Academician Igor Pobirchenko have been one of the most significant events for the arbitration community in Ukraine and beyond. The event annually gathers over 200 delegates and a hundred of speakers specializing in international arbitration, foreign economic affairs and private international law.
Held on October 10-11 2019, the Readings were supported by the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) and the Maritime Arbitration Commission (UMAC) at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Arbitration Association became the information partner of the event.
