INTEGRITES together with the ACC held joint workshop “Agrarian Industry in Ukraine: Current Legal Issues & Opportunities”

On August 8, 2018, INTEGRITES together with the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine conducted another joint workshop “Agrarian Industry in Ukraine: Current Legal Issues & Opportunities”.

During the event participants discussed the most topical issues in this field, shared experience and received practical recommendations on how to deal with legal challenges and turn them into opportunities. Victoria Melnychenko, Head of Agro & Food Practice at INTEGRITES, moderated the event and opened it with the presentation on the recent updates on the novelties in legislative regulation of agrarian industry.

Natalia Pylyptseva, Deputy Director on Legal & Corporate Affairs at Bunge Ukraine, analyzed new legal regulation of phytosanitary procedures and explained how to overcome the bureaucracy and legislation gaps. Ganna Lazurenko, Deputy Director General on Legal Issues at Delta Wilmar, gave a general overview and analyzed the obstacles which foreign investor may face in Ukraine. Yevhen Cherniak, Head of Legal Department at private agricultural enterprise “Denihivka”, told about land lease in Ukraine, amendments to the Law “On Mortgage” and how they would affect the relationship of business with banks and other lenders.
